Burlingame Eichlers / The streets
Eight streets · one ninth we will not print
Where the hundred are.
Eight street names recur across the sources. We have confirmed all eight exist in Burlingame, and confirmed individual Eichler addresses on three of them. What nobody has published is which parcels on each street are Eichlers and which are not — so this is a street list, not a survey.
Six specific houses we could verify individually: 7 and 8 Mariposa Court, 1775 and 1842 Hunt Drive, 2919 and 2999 Frontera Way. Every other street below is named by the sources but not confirmed house by house.
The eight.
| Street | What the sources say | Our confidence |
|---|---|---|
| Mariposa Drive | Named in every source. Said to be entirely Eichler. | High on the street; the “entirely” claim is unverified |
| Mariposa Court | Said to be entirely Eichler. Numbers 7 and 8 confirmed individually — 8 is the Harschel house. | High. Two addresses verified |
| Hunt Drive | 1775 and 1842 confirmed as Eichlers. 1775 is the largest house we have verified in the tract at 2,440 sq ft. | High. Two addresses verified |
| Frontera Way | 2919 and 2999 confirmed. 2999 has a documented 428 sq ft atrium. | High. Two addresses verified |

| Dolores Way | Named in the sources. Exists in Burlingame. | Medium. No individual Eichler confirmed |
| Montecito Way | Appears in one source, which also files this tract under the wrong neighbourhood name and carries two plan numbers we could find nowhere else. | Not printed as an Eichler street. Why → |
The Spanish street names — Alcazar, Capistrano, Dolores, Frontera, Mariposa — are Trousdale's, not Eichler's. They were set when the estate was subdivided in 1954, nine years before Eichler bought lots in it. The land before the Eichlers →
Reading a street here
Eichler and non-Eichler sit next to each other on most of these roads.
Because Eichler bought lots inside an existing subdivision rather than laying out his own, Mills Estate is not a solid block of Eichlers the way Greenmeadow or Fairglen are. Except possibly on the two Mariposa streets, an Eichler here has conventional 1950s hillside houses as neighbours.
That is worth knowing before you drive it. You are not looking for a neighbourhood that reads as Eichler from the corner. You are looking for individual houses inside a conventional street.
It also means the count problem is real. Nobody can tell you how many of the houses on Alcazar or Dolores are Eichlers, because nobody has published a parcel-level list. “About a hundred” across eight streets averages twelve or thirteen a street — but if the two Mariposas really are entirely Eichler, the distribution is nothing like even.

Which houses on your street are Eichlers?
If you live on one of the eight and can tell us which numbers are and are not, you would be adding something no published source contains. We will credit the street, not you, unless you want otherwise.
